Malaysia & Korea Technical Exchange Program (MPB & KOWEPO) 2026

This September, Malaysia & Korea Technical Exchange Program 2026 brought together Malakoff Power Berhad (MPB) and Korea Western Power Co., Ltd. (KOWEPO) for a meaningful exchange of technical knowledge and industry experience.

The program featured a B2B & Exhibition session at Fraser Place, Johor Bahru, bringing together engineers and staff from Tanjung Bin Power Plant and 12 Korean SMEs. The session provided a valuable platform for technical discussions, business networking, and the introduction of Korean technologies and solutions relevant to Malaysia’s power sector.

Alongside the B2B sessions, KOWEPO and MPB power plant management held discussions on potential areas for future technical cooperation and collaboration, further strengthening the relationship between the two organizations.

HFS supported and coordinated the program, facilitating communication and engagement between the Korean and Malaysian participants. The successful exchange created opportunities for continued technical cooperation, knowledge sharing, and business collaboration between Korea and Malaysia’s power sectors.
